He's out cold for a while, the only sign that he's alive is his steady breathing and occasional twitches in moments of fitful sleep. When he does finally wake, it's sudden, as if he's just woken from a nightmare and he gasps, sitting straight up and then skittering along the rocks as he tries to distance himself from everything, shoving his back up against the wall of the cave. His eyes are wide and fearful, but they're not afraid of her. He has no idea where he is, nor of what happened.

"Where..." He gulps, his voice croaking as he suddenly starts coughing from the sea salt in his throat.
