labcoatgirl: (sitting with Hulk)

She understands that better than any words spoken in English. Betty whistles back encouragingly, she was fine, thanks to him.

A careful hand is slowly placed against his scaly front, trying not to spook him. He's so much larger than her now. How could it be possible? She didn't know. Betty tucks her tail under her neatly, sitting next to him. They can both look out and watch the rain falling on the dawn of a new day. A faint band of colors arcing over the ocean in the distance.

Betty trails a hand through the foamy water at her waist, finding a smooth rock here and there that are interesting enough to pick up. Looking up at the sea monster next to her, he seems exhausted.

She starts in to sing again, a slow song that usually catches a sailor's ear and makes him think of home and the girl he left behind. It's a song of home and being safe once again.
