Betty keeps lifting one front paw, then the other to try and keep them dry. But it's all for naught.
Another scent fills her nose as a large dog is coming towards her. Alarmed, she jumps back, yapping a warning.
Back off, or I'll...I'll do something drastic, I will! I'm not afraid of you!
Actually she was. Very afraid. That dog could probably eat her if he wanted to but she wasn't going down without a fight.
