"If this goes wrong, I think you have more to worry about." Blonsky gives Betty a pointed look. If things really went wrong he could wake up mid-transformation. For him that'd hardly be a problem, except for the fact that the Forger, unknown to Blonsky, is now standing by with a massive syringe that would drop him before it progressed too far.

"The point is that they'll keep yanking us around until they get what they want. The fact that you know about this operation is probably enough to put you under house arrest. Even if we fail with the extraction here, I'm going to bet that we're their last option, if this really is more than a ruse. They'll need both of us, either way." He leans back in his chair, crossing his legs.

"And you always have the opportunity to tell them you didn't get a choice in the matter." She did have first hand knowledge of how dangerous he could get. She could claim he threatened her life, and he knew they would be unlikely to doubt the claim, especially from her.
