A sigh follows and he wets his lips with his tongue as if he plans on saying something else, only to give up on it a second later, and he brings his cup up to his lips to take a sip. Silence follows, but on the plus side, it doesn't take him long to stop inspecting the carpet and look up at her fully without looking away again near immediately. It's progress.
