Again, he looks up at her, tempted to ask what she has nightmares about. It doesn't take him too long to decide he doesn't want to know -- he has some wild, deep seated fear that he wouldn't like the answer much -- and looks away again when he does, his lips pressing into a thin line as he tries to come up with some other response to that. Finding his words takes longer. Much longer.
